This book is a photo journey of Afghan Hounds of Scandinavia and Europe from
the 1970's, 80's and 90's. These volumes are much more than just books filled with
photos. The message of my books is that we must, as breeders and aficionados of the
Afghan Hound, make a concerted effort to keep the classic Afghan true to form. This
effort should include retaining all the hallmarks of this breed - the looks, temperament,
and hunting ability of the sighthound.

These books are a reminder that if an effort is not made to keep the old, classic
bloodlines alive they will surely slip away and be forever lost. I hope, as an author, you
will enjoy looking at the beautiful dogs from yesteryear and be reminiscent of the spirit
they conveyed.
